National Men's Health Policy

The Federal Department of Health and Ageing has been consulting on a National Men's Health Policy. The Policy will focus on reducing the barriers men experience in accessing health services and raising awareness of preventable health problems that affect men. The Alliance consulted with members and other LGBT organisations and wrote a submission calling for the specific needs of gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men to be addressed and the issues faced by sex and gender diverse people in relation to gender-specific health policy to be taken into account.
